A patient reports chronic pain, coordination difficulties or balance problems. During the assessment, you observe several abnormal responses, but not all of them necessarily have the same clinical significance.
Where should you begin treatment? Which finding requires further investigation, and which may help guide your treatment plan?
Functional Neurology — Clinical Seminar is an advanced workshop designed for therapists who are already familiar with fundamental neurological assessment tools and want to apply them more effectively in everyday clinical practice.
During the course, you will learn to integrate observations related to visual functions, responses to sensory stimuli, and postural and movement control.
You will develop your ability to interpret assessment findings in the context of the patient's symptoms, select further tests and establish treatment priorities.
The sessions led by Roman Staroń focus on assessing selected visual functions, sensory responses and their clinical relevance.
Małgorzata Kontowicz will lead the paediatric section, focusing on the assessment of primitive reflexes and postural reactions, interpretation of observed responses and rehabilitation planning for children.
The programme includes demonstrations, hands-on assessment practice, clinical case analysis and reassessment following therapeutic interventions.
The aim of the seminar is to develop the ability to move beyond individual test results towards a structured clinical process — from formulating a hypothesis and selecting interventions to evaluating changes and planning further rehabilitation.
